Association Acorn

Rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of cats and kittens

About Acorn

Acorn was formed in 2016 and its purpose is to rescue and re-home cats and kittens in the Dordogne, France.

Although the Association is fairly new, its founders, Lynda and Trevor Atkins, have fostered and re-homed more than 1000 cats, kittens, dogs and puppies over a period of 13 years. They are assisted by a small, dedicated and professional team of volunteers.

Acorn’s experience and standard of care is second to none. They are proud of the healthy, happy and well-socialised cats and kittens that leave to go on to their new homes. All of them are identified, de-parasited, vaccinated and where age-appropriate, sterilised. Acorn follows up on each and every adoption to ensure that on-going sterilisation and vaccination commitments are kept and to hear happy news of the cats that they have cared for.
